Empowering students

Biotech Partners provides integrated and high-touch programs that empower underrepresented high school students and graduates to step outside their boundaries and dream big. We encourage students to pursue personal, academic, and professional development experiences through in-classroom instruction and paid internships sponsored by various biotech and healthcare industry partners.

The future faces of stem

Biotech Partners works closely with our industry sponsors and partners, who play an important role in shaping our students to be the future faces of STEM, and to provide students with a pleasant and stimulating experience. We support approximately 300 students annually.

Biotech Academy

Complete a 6-8 week paid summer internship sponsored by our various biotech and healthcare industry partners.

Tutoring in science and study skills
Resume-writing, “Dress for Success,” and job interview workshops
Guest speakers from biotech companies and universities
Scholarships for clothing, transportation, and community college
Biotech Partners’ Biotech Academy is available to high school students interested in exploring a career in biotechnology. Our intensive academic curriculum takes place throughout the school year and provides in-classroom lessons and hands-on lab training.

It is designed to give students the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in biotechnology – a growing industry that offers ample opportunities for continued education, and career and financial advancement.

Bioscience Career Institute (BCI)

This two-year program consists of a year-long biotech job and courses which lead to a Certificate of Achievement in Bioscience

Graduates qualify for entry-level biotech positions earning $35,000- $50,000 per year and receive help finding job opportunities.
Upon completion of the Biotech Academy Program, students are eligible to enroll in the Bioscience Career Institute. This two-year program consists of a year-long biotech job and courses which lead to a Certificate of Achievement in Bioscience.

Note: Only students enrolled in the Biotech Academy are eligible for the summer and yearly internships offered by the BCI.
